A Torture So Lovely

She had been here once before in this most torturous place

This place may have been beautiful once. Perhaps in another’s eyes, it had a dark beauty in its dark heart. The dark marble that made its floors and stairs. Silver filigree decorated the columns. Black candles are lit throughout the manor house. To Edalyn, this place was a tomb. A grave where she had nearly succumbed to so long ago.
