A day in the Life of J R R Tolkien

Can you hear the sounds of drums in the distance? The echoing of hooves galloping across the vast expanse of land on their journey to war? I’ve always loved The Lord of the Rings.

Specifically, The Two Towers, and Return of the King. Both stories are so intertwined in the war of Men versus Saruman that both movies stand a bit apart from the Fellowship of the Ring.

Yes, without the Fellowship you wouldn’t have both these movies, but the point of the Fellowship of the Ring is that even apart, their battle remained the same, even if the first goal…
